The League of American Bicyclists has just released its 2010 ranking of Bicycle Friendly States, to coincide with Bike to Work Week. New Jersey has moved up to Number 8 from Number 10 in 2009, and achieved Bronze Status. Sheree Davis, the state's Bicycle and Pedestrian Office Coordinator, credits both the adoption by NJDOT of a Complete Streets policy and the Bicycle Summit organized by the New Jersey Bicycle Coalition for helping in the ranking improvement.
