"On Your Bike!" PDF Print E-mail
Written by Jim Nicholson

I don't mean this in the British sense, where "on yer bike!" basically means "get lost!" Although, to be truthful, when I hop on my bike to commute, I do tend to "get lost" in that I forget the cares of the work-day.  On the way in, I enjoy the ride and don't think about any problems that await me. On the way home, I put it all aside and relax. Either I'll take in the sights along the way, or pretend I am on "Le Tour" and try to better my time home the previous day.

This website section is devoted to Bike Commuting. Some of the things you will find here you may find on almost any other bike commuting website you visit.  Some things, however, pertain to my own commute and are tips that I have picked up by making the trip, whether it be routing from NJ to NY, what to wear, problems along the way, etc.

If any of you bike-commute in the NJ-NY area, and especially if you are a fellow Trans-Hudson rider like myself, let me know about your commute. Write something up about your ride for this website, or perhaps share one of your own tips with us.  I'm always ready to learn something new!
